One of the most popular questions I get asked as a photographer is what kind of camera I use. I love my Nikon cameras and lenses.
I must say that cameras, lenses, and lighting aren’t what makes a photograph great - it really is the person behind the equipment. Understanding your gear is important, but not as important as understanding composition, capturing emotion, setting focus, and utilizing colors and light. I run into a lot of new photographers with just one camera and a lens. I remind them that a simple setup is all they need to create beautiful photographs.
I’ve been called a gear head by my friends, but truth be told, I only use 4-5 lenses on a regular basis.
